At The Wise Seeker we are looking for a Civil Engineering Project Manager to work with one of our clients located in the USA:amultidisciplinary consulting firm offering a broad range of real estate energy infrastructure and environmental management solutions to both public and private clients across the country.

Functions

Leadership and Direction

  1. Receive broad guidance from seniorlevel management relating to overall key objectives critical issues new concepts and policy matters and general parameters for execution. Manage people and processes to ensure effective execution. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.

At the Operational and Company Level

  1. Assist with the marketing of the firms capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients.
  2. Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.
  3. Drive the profitability and growth of projects.

Do the Work

  1. Perform project development for complex projects including finalizing scope of projects preparing bid summaries preparing project budgets and cost estimates.
  2. Perform daytoday project management on multiple projects to meet time and budget milestones.
  3. Prepare and direct preparation of designs specification plans estimates and reports for projects.
  4. Review job cost sheets and prepare monthly billings. Ensure assigned projects stay within budget allocation.
  5. Be responsible for the monitoring and management of workinprocess billings and outstanding accounts receivable collection efforts.
  6. Maintain healthy client relationships and possess solid operational insight for driving projects and executing deliverables.
  7. Maintain close relationships with clients to resolve all project questions including technical requirements completion requirements and billing inquiries.
  8. Assist with marketing presentations and attend marketing meetings.
  9. Assist team leader in securing repeat business from existing clients and identifying new clients.
  10. Supervise the work of project personnel to ensure that it meets the highest professional standards.
  11. Liaise with clients and agencies subcontractors and design teams on projects.
  12. Review project changes pending or anticipated alterations to the contract additional work requests and all other factors which may significantly affect staffing requirements or budget.
  13. Provide technical assistance in the resolution of design problems including field investigation or inspections detailed design work detailed review of design computations done by others and general coordination of design aspects.

Requirements

  1. Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  2. Registered Professional in field of expertise strongly preferred.
  3. Eight or more (8) years of experience in civil engineering experience to include a minimum of three (3) years assistant project management experience.
  4. Land development engineering experience and skills including residential and commercial developments.
  5. Thorough understanding of municipal codes and regulations.
  6. Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D AES CIVILD WSPGW PCSWMM StormCAD HECHMS HECRAS preferred.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Projects).
  8. Experience with Storm Drain Modeling and Rational Method Hydrologic Calculations.
  9. Experience with Open Channel & Detention Basin Modeling and Design.
  10. Experience with HECRAS modeling and CLOMR/LOMR applications and processing.
  11. Experience researching zoning development standards development review processes compliance matters regulations and standards.
  12. Ability to write reports prepare narratives development applications submittal documents and response letters.

Physical Demands and Working Environment

  1. Primarily indoor professional office environment which can consist of possible bright/dim light noise fumes odors and traffic.
  2. Mobility around an office environment.
  3. Occasional outdoor work environment and may be exposed to outside weather conditions varying temperatures excessive noise and/or potential hazards.
  4. Mobility around a job/construction site to include walking bending crawling climbing squatting or kneeling and wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  5. Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.
  6. Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.
  7. Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.
  8. Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
