Job Description

Point Care is a dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.
Position Summary:
  • provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as eating dressing bathing and grooming.
  • Provide transportation assistance to clients.
  • Provide respite care to clients and their families.
  • Keep accurate and up to date records or clients care plans and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with clients their families and other members of the care team.
  • Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.




Requirements

  • A minimum of high school or equivalent.
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willing to work towards completion(highly regarded).
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability.
  • Day shift night shifts sleepovers and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work with a diverse client base understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities cultural backgrounds and language requirements.
  • Basic care and first aid skills.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in microsoft office suite.
