Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling and guidance to students regarding educational opportunities in the USA
• Assist students in understanding admission requirements and application processes
• Offer support in career planning and goal setting
• Organize workshops and seminars on studying in the USA
• Assess students qualifications and provide recommendations on suitable academic programs
• Stay updated on changes in immigration and visa regulations
• Collaborate with universities and colleges in the USA to stay informed about their programs
• Help students with visa application procedures and documentation
• Provide mentorship and support to students during their transition to the USA
• Manage and maintain accurate records of student information and progress
• Assist in marketing and promoting educational opportunities in the USA
• Address any cultural or social adaptation issues that students may face
• Conduct interviews and assessments for students career planning
• Offer support and advice on financial aid options and scholarships

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in counseling education or related field
• Proven experience in academic advising counseling or student services
• Deep understanding of the US higher education system and admissions processes
• Strong knowledge of visa and immigration procedures for international students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathetic and understanding nature towards students needs
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in using educational and career counseling tools and resources
• Knowledge of financial aid options and scholarships available for international students
• Familiarity with educational marketing and promotion strategies
• Certification in counseling or advising is an advantage
• Ability to adapt to changing immigration and education policies
• Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
