Private Chef

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Private Chef for a residence in Richmond Hill. The successful applicant will be required to prepare breakfast lunch and dinner for the principals plus some house management tasks. The typical work hours are 8am 5pm Monday through Friday. Applicants should be flexible with their schedules and be available for some weekends and holidays. This is a fulltime liveout position with some travel required to a summer property.

Candidate Profile:

You are a wellrounded private chef who enjoys keeping a clean and very wellorganized work environment. You have a strong understanding of household hygiene and cleaning best practices. You have a do what it takes attitude and have a calm and collected demeanour. You can wear a number of different hats and are an efficient manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Daily cooking required; must have knowledge of a variety of different cuisines mainly healthy and nutritious meals
  
• Inventory management of the kitchen and residence including cleaning products and toiletries
  
• Menu planning track and keep records of menus to avoid repetition of meals
  
• Grocery shopping
  
• Ensure household mechanical systems HVAC plumbing equipment and fixtures are maintained
  
• Daily walkthroughs of residence ensuring security measures and protocols are in place and the property is secure at all times
  
• Occasional event planning and facilitation
  
• Errands and other tasks as needed
  

Applicant Qualities:

• Excellent English communication skills and professional personal presentation
  
• Must maintain privacy and confidentiality always exercising diplomacy discretion and respecting appropriate boundaries
  
• A valid clean Ontario driver s license (class G) is required; consistent access to a vehicle is required
  
• A degree or diploma from an accredited culinary institution is an asset
  
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
