Title: Data Modeler

Location: Durham NC or Smithfield RI

Duration: 6 months

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Team Workplace Investments data modeling team partners with the project teams to deliver practical & resilient data models and database designs that meet business needs while adhering to Enterprise and Industry standard methodologies. CANDIDATE PROFILE: 1.) Strong Data modeling (Conceptual Logical Physical 3nF Dimensional) at both a project and enterprise level. 2.) Knowledge of Data Modeling Tools such as Powerdesigner Oracle Designer or Erwin. 3.) Experience in Data Analytics and ability to write SQL to query data. INTERVIEW PROCESS: One round 60minute panel with the HM and team member(s).

Experience:

• Strong Data modeling (Conceptual Logical Physical 3nF Dimensional) at both a project and enterprise level
• Dimensional Modeling with experience in crafting conformed dimensions that can be used across Business Units.
• Knowledge of Data Modeling Tools such as Powerdesigner Oracle Designer or Erwin
• Understanding of principles and industry standards around Data Architecture
• Experience working with Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams
• Experience in Data Analytics and ability to write SQL to query data
• Solid grasp of Database technologies (DB2 Oracle and Snowflake) techniques and trends
• Experience with Mainframe distributed and Cloud (AWS/Azure) environments
• Experience with data governance and metadata management tools and standard methodologies a plus
• Excellent written and presentation skills
• Ability to explain Data structures to a nontechnical audience
• Results oriented with proven ability to work independently and with a matrixed organization
• Strong leadership teamwork interpersonal negotiating and influencing skills
