Chemical Process Engineer

TOR Minerals seeks to maintain a leading position as a worldwide producer of specialty mineral products through the continual development of high value costeffective product solutions designed to satisfy customer specific requirements.

The ideal candidate will be a proven selfstarter that demonstrates strong leadership and comprehension skills. Using sound engineering practices this role will support clients in the chemical industry. The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. The Process Engineer regularly monitors and checks existing processes to assure they are operating within the appropriate parameters and established specifications.

Requirements

Design and perform research in catalytic reactor systems related to electrochemical fuel synthesis and conversion

Assemble electrochemical catalytic and photo catalytic reactors and analyze products for energy and conversion efficiency analysis

Develop research plans in conjunction with other teammates

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of the research data and analysis.

Maintain accurate records of all procedures and results in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and timelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Engineering is required; chemical engineering is preferred

Process improvement experience includes idea generation scoping planning and implementing a new change

Proficient at troubleshooting and repairing process analyzer or instrumentation equipment with a good understanding of mechanical and electrical components

Strong safety mindset for working with hazardous processes and chemicals.

Able to analyze data and trends to troubleshoot equipment

Team player able to work with various functions and levels of the organization who is keen on practical work orientation and striving for continuous improvement

Ideal candidate should be independent responsible well organized and a selfstarter with a targetoriented work style
