Job Title: Social Worker

Start Date: Urgent Start May 24^th 2024.

Work Hours: Full Time

Caseload: 16 K 5^th Grade Students

Job Details:

Immediate Opening for a Passionate School Social Worker to work at our amazing partner school.

The primary purpose of the School Social Worker position is to provide dynamic services to pediatric students in a school setting. The goal is to assist students in enhancing their social and emotional wellbeing. and achieving academic success. In this position the Social Worker will be working with a caseload of elementary school students.

The position roles would include:

Help students function effectively in the school environment.

Assess areas in which students may require assistance or mental health counseling.

Communicate with parents teachers and administrators

Maintain accurate case files and reports to track student issues and progress

Assist in remediation by providing treatment plans or counseling

Evaluate student transcripts

Participate in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process as necessary

Requirements

Masters Degree in Social Work

Must hold a current state license to practice in the state of Illinois and a Professional Educators License with endorsement in School Social Work

Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development
