Job Title: Memory Validation Lab Technician

Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform hardware and software testing to identify functional issues in server systems Responsible for building out new platforms including HW and SW installations Track inventory and status of equipment in the lab Follow instructions and maintain detailed notes on testing and results Communicate effectively with the team Complete assigned tests in a timely manner maintaining ability to multitask under pressure Required Experience and Education: AAS Degree in Computer Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience Strong background in computer hardware software and PC architecture Familiarity with all Windows operating systems; Linux experience preferred Minimum of 5 years experience with PC hardware and software validation and troubleshooting Technical expertise in PC hardware devices and motherboard architecture Knowledge of PC architecture for troubleshooting hardware compatibility issues Experience with installation of Linux and Windows operating systems including drivers Experience flashing BIOS using ROM burner or utilities Ability to read locate and decipher system registers Knowledge and ability to locate voltage rails signals and components through schematics Ability to use multimeter oscilloscope or software to determine memory or Hypertranport frequency Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
