Position: Data Center Support Specialist

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Install set up and manage data center hardware covering servers storage systems and networking equipment.
• Monitor data center performance and capacity pinpointing areas for enhancement and implementing solutions to boost efficiency.
• Carry out regular maintenance duties such as hardware upgrades firmware updates and applying system patches.
• Swiftly troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues to minimize downtime and maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Establish and uphold data center security measures encompassing access controls surveillance systems and environmental monitoring.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment procurement maintenance and assistance.
• Document data center configurations procedures and troubleshooting steps to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
• Engage in disaster recovery planning and testing activities to guarantee data center resilience and business continuity.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a relevant field.
• Demonstrated experience as a Data Center Specialist or in a comparable capacity.
• Comprehensive understanding of data center hardware including servers storage arrays and networking devices.
• Familiarity with data center management tools and monitoring systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving abilities to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues effectively.
• Background in data center security practices and protocols.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
