What we are looking for

We are looking for a detailoriented and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer who is passionate about leveraging technology to solve realworld logistics problems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in software quality assurance demonstrating a deep understanding of testing methodologies and tools. Your expertise will help ensure that our AIdriven logistics solutions meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency contributing significantly to our mission of reducing the cost of moving goods.

What does the job involve

Requirements Understanding and Acceptance Criteria:

• Understand business technical functional and user requirements.
• Write acceptance criteria for user stories/requirements to be tested.

Risk Identification and Communication:

• Proactively communicate risks to the leadership team.
• Test Case Design and Maintenance:
  • Design and maintain test cases for new software features system tests and regression tests.

Test Cycle Planning and Execution:

• Plan and execute test cycles for sprint and major releases.
• Collaborate with the SCRUM team developers and analysts.

Manual Testing and Automation Support:

• Perform manual testing.
• Assist with improvements in the automation of system and regression testing.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Release Management:

• Collaborate with internal and external customers for user acceptance testing and release management.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously improve testing processes for enhanced efficiency coverage and traceability.

UI and Back Office Review:

• Review user interfaces and backoffice operations for consistency and functionality.

Metrics Tracking and Reporting:

• Regularly track and report on testing metrics.
• Work closely with product management and developers to improve metrics over time.

Bug/Defect Management:

• Proactively manage the backlog of bug/defect reports.
• Work with the team to schedule and resolve them.

Estimation Contribution:

• Provide and contribute towards realistic estimates for test planning and execution.

Qualifications

Experience and Environment:

• 3 years as a software QA/test engineer preferably in an Agile environment.
• Experience working in an agile collaborative working environment (Scrum Kanban etc.).

Technical Understanding and Interpretation:

• Good technical understanding combined with business intelligence.
• Ability to interpret requirements and user stories.

API and Web Service Testing:

• Good experience in API and web service testing using Postman.

Tools Proficiency:

• Bug tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Good experience working with Google Cloud instead of Azure.
• Test management tools such as Zephyr for JIRA.

Automation Testing:

• Experience in automation testing frameworks Selenium Spec Flow (Gherkins) Jasmine & Protractor.

Build and Deployment Tools:

• Working knowledge of build integration and deployment tools (Jenkins Google Cloud CI and CD would

be beneficial).

Version Control:

• Good knowledge of Git and Git Workflow.
