Facilities Technician II

In this role you will

• Inspect repair and maintain machines mechanical equipment buildings and work on plumbing basic electrical repairs and upgrades and heating ventilation and airconditioning (HVAC) systems.
• Build partitions; make plaster or drywall repairs and fix or paint on roofs windows doors floors and other parts of building structures.
• Maintain and repair equipment and machinery found in cafeterias laboratories offices and the factory.
• Typical duties may include troubleshooting and fixing faulty electrical switches repairing and maintaining HVAC roof top units lighting and unclogging drains
• Schedule direct and oversee outside contractors performing repairs or upgrades.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and ensure that machines continue to run smoothly building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
• Follow a checklist and standard work list inspect drives motors and belts check fluid levels replace filters and perform other maintenance actions as needed
• Documentation keep records of work performed
• participate in mandatory companyprovided safety and compliance training and training for working in various environments

Salary: $20/ hr (long term contract)

Schedule: FT MF 6am 2:30pm on call every 3^rd week during off hours

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Required!
• HVAC Certification Required!
• Previous experience Commercial HVAC Required!
• Previous experience handling installing and fixing HVAC equipment
• Ability to use hand and power tools screwdrivers saws drills wrenches and hammers as well as some specialized equipment and electronic testing devices
• Comfortable working with limited supervision
• Skills to be successful technical and mechanical aptitude manual dexterity good judgement and decision making skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics good reading comprehension and the ability to interpret service manuals and other written instructions
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable

• Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
• The position is subject to passing a background check and drug screen
