Short Description:
We are looking for a software engineer who has some linux admin background who has some experience working with raspberry pis or like devices.
Description:
We are seeking a Software Engineer with a strong Linux administration background particularly focused on building custom support developing custom images and integrating addon boards for Raspberry Pi devices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Linux operating systems opensource software development and hardware integration.
As a Software Engineer with Linux administration experience you will be responsible for designing and implementing software solutions for Raspberry Pi devices with a focus on custom support and integration. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements design architectures and develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Responsibilities:
Design software solutions for Raspberry Pi devices including custom support and integration of addon boards.
Develop custom images and configurations for Raspberry Pi devices optimizing performance and functionality.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams ensuring best practices and architectural consistency.
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to architectural standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues working closely with support teams and customers.
Stay current with emerging technologies industry trends and best practices in Linux administration and Raspberry Pi development.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize software improvement opportunities.
Participate in the development and maintenance of technical documentation and user guides.
Required Qualifications:
Expert knowledge working with raspberry pis or like devices
Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience (8 years) building and shipping production ready software in an enterprise environment
3 years of problem solving and debugging in a complex environment
3 years of experience with modern programming languages such as Java Python Go or Node.js and related frameworks
2 years of experience implementing containerized and scalable software based on microservices APIs and microproduct architecture
2 years of experience within UI based technologies (React ReactNative etc.)
2 years of experience with a variety of modern opensource technologies (Kafka AVRO Prometheus ELK Kubernetes)
2 years of experience with container platforms and deployments
2 years of experience with a variety of modern database technologies
2 years of experience with Continuous Integration DevOps and Deployment Strategies
1 years of experience with public cloud platforms and NoSQL Implementations
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms
Experience in incremental Agile delivery practices
Experience with Github and Git version control
Experience with a variety of security mechanisms and certifications such as SAML Oauth SSO HITRUST FedRAMP etc.)
Experience with embedded Linux systems and realtime operating systems (RTOS)
Familiarity with opensource software development tools and frameworks
Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker
Understanding of hardware design principles and electronic components
