TPF Recruitment has partnered with a fantastic fastgrowing and multisited firm of chartered accountants who are recruiting for an Assistant Tax Manager to join their team in Horsham. You will work in a mixed accounts and tax capacity and have exposure to some excellent clients ranging from sole traders and small Ltd companies through to some significantly sized groups. Their clients are a mixture of both corporate and notforprofit organizations. There are great prospects on offer in this leading firm of accountants.

The firm we are working with is open to receiving CV candidates who currently work in an Assistant Manager capacity or an experienced senior looking to progress into an assistant manager position.

Accounts Manager Duties:
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Managing a portfolio of ownermanaged businesses made up of sole traders Ltd companies and LLPs
  • Reviewing and preparing statutory accounts corporate and personal tax returns and VAT returns
  • Managing the delivery of tax and accounts advisory projects and presenting the results to clients
  • Identifying and evaluating risk management issues
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities for clients
  • Overseeing and supporting the work of more junior members of the team


Requirements


Our ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Be ATT CTA ACA or ACCA newly or partqualified.
  • Have some experience working with personal and capital gains tax (experience with inheritance tax P11D forms ATED returns and trusts is desirable but not essential)
  • Have a strong interest in tax
  • Aptitude for delivering excellent customer service
  • Approachable with an ability to build strong working relationships
  • Good verbal and written communication skills as they would be dealing directly with clients


Benefits

  • 45000 dependent on experience and background negotiable.
  • Although this is advertised as a fulltime vacancy we are happy to be flexible and would consider anyone who needs to work around caring responsibilities etc.
  • The role can involve hybrid working. We re very open to this but the role will involve some officebased days. There is no set pattern for the officebased days as we re open to discussing the needs of the individual on a casebycase basis
