Overview:
Our client a leader in merchant payment technology is actively seeking a highly motivated and resultsoriented Business Development Manager to join theirdynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities building and nurturing client relationships and driving partner growth. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in sales and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify New Business Opportunities:
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and market segments.
- Prospect and qualify leads through cold calling networking and other outreach methods.
- Analyse industry trends and the competitive landscape to uncover new business opportunities.
2. Develop and Implement Sales Strategies:
- Develop sales plans to achieve company revenue goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create tailored solutions that address client needs.
- Utilise a consultative sales approach to effectively communicate the value proposition to prospects.
3. Build and Maintain Client Relationships:
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing partners and key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Act as a trusted advisor to partners understanding their business goals and challenges to provide relevant solutions.
- Conduct regular meetings and presentations to demonstrate product/service offerings and address any concerns.
4. Collaborate CrossFunctionally:
- Work closely with internal teams including product development and customer support to align business objectives and deliver exceptional partner experiences.
- Provide feedback to the management team based on partner needs and market feedback to drive innovation and enhancements.
5. Track and Report Sales Performance:
- Maintain accurate records of activities including pipeline management forecasts and client demonstrations and interactions using CRM software.
- Generate regular reports on performance metrics highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
Commute:
The office is conveniently located close to the Metrolink providing an easily commutable workplace.

Experience Criteria:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Development Manager or in a similar role.
- 13 years Experience in the UK Payments Industry desired.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to conduct platform demos.
- Experience working with CRM systems for client record management.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Knowledge of the payment technology or financial services industry is a plus.
