We are looking for an experienced fullstack engineer to join our newly opened Barcelona office and help us build the future of assistive devices for blind and visually impaired people.
biped is a smart harness that uses cameras to help blind and visually impaired people detect potential obstacles and follow navigation instructions. 3 years of R&D 300 betatesters later biped is now commercially available all across Europe.
Tasks
Take responsibility for core parts of our app and internal tools:
- Develop new features and maintain current ones in our fully accessible app for iOS and Android built with React Native
- Build custom B2B applications for new customers of biped
- Support the release process of new versions of the software running on the biped device
- Improve internal dashboards
Requirements
Your profile:
- You are ready to learn new things and interested in pushing your code to production.
- You are communicative and upfront about the problems you are facing and you like to work on challenging problems in a team.
- You aim to have a core contribution to a massive problem. You are driven by the impact you want to have in your job.
- You have already gained experience working on challenging problems.
- You have a B.Sc. in computer science or something equivalent and have 3 years of experience as a fullstack engineer.
We are looking for somebody that has significant experience with:
- React or React Native
- Typescript
- CI/CD pipelines
A plus would be past encounters with:
- Next JS
- iOS development ObjectiveC or Swift
