The Role:

We are looking for a reliable and motivated addition to our Quality Assurance department. The QA
Tech position is responsible for batch paperwork review escalation of batchrelated
nonconformances and guidance for production employees. The employee should have a willingness
to grow and adapt with our developing processes as well as an interest in process development. The
ideal candidate is comfortable working on their feet selfmotivated and has intermediate computer
skills and math.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Review bulk batch material and batch ticket documentation
Investigate and issue rework instructions for batch issues final disposition of production
batches.
Escalate errors and issues to Quality Assurance Manager
Maintain laboratory equipment including Water Activity meter.
Support the Quality Control /Quality Assurance team by documenting monitoring and
verifying procedures to ensure the safe and quality production of product
Maintain a retain library for products filing away retains as needed.
Scan and file batch related documentation
Send out batch samples for microbial testing.
Move approved material to respective departments.
Interact with production staff to troubleshoot and escalate quality related manufacturing issues.
Other duties as required.

Requirements

Experience Abilities and Qualities Required:

The ideal candidate for this role is a selfstarter detail oriented and has production
experience.
Valid driver s license
Minimum of a 2year associate degree in Food Science Food Safety Food Manufacturing or
at least 2 years of experience in a food production facility.
Knowledge and understanding of food safety HACCP SSOP GMPs GFCO.
Physically able to stand sit move squat walk and climb during the shift.
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work in a fastpaced environment.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive
Previous CRM or ERP experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge and understanding of aseptic technique.
Able to maintain an organized work environment.
Must follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as dictated by the organization
and the state Education/Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
PCQI certified and HACCP Certified a plus!
