The Director of Quality plays a pivotal role in upholding the highest standards of product development production support and continuous improvement in compliance with AS9100 Rev. C ISO9001:2008 FAA and DOD regulations. This role demands a proactive approach in maintaining quality across new product developments customer quality approvals and ensuring our processes meet stringent industry standards.
Qualifications:
1015 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing setting aerospace preferred.
Strong analytical and prioritization skills capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Independent worker with exceptional motivational and interpersonal skills.
Experience with MRP systems preferably Oracle and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexible schedule to meet project demands.
Excellent communication skills with experience in the military or aerospace industries being advantageous.
Proven track record in implementing operational excellence and lean manufacturing principles.
Leadership experience including managing direct reports and working across multiple sites or internationally.
Knowledge in AS9100 experience with FAA DMIR Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
Spearhead quality initiatives across new product development ensuring alignment with customer expectations and regulatory standards.
Serve as the main contact for customer quality relations fostering positive communication and resolving issues to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
Guide crossfunctional teams towards operational excellence developing key quality metrics and strategies for continuous improvement.
Ensure seamless integration of new designs into production focusing on quality from the onset.
Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) integrating customer and regulatory requirements into our operations to uphold certifications.
Manage internal and external quality audits driving compliance and improvement across the organization.
Lead supplier quality assessments ensuring our supply chain meets our standards of quality and performance.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
