Plant Manager

Job Title: Plant Manager Sand Plant

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee operations at our sand plant located in San Antonio TX. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of highquality sand products while maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities excellent communication skills and a proven track record of success in managing plant operations preferably in the sand or aggregates industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership:
   • Oversee all aspects of plant operations including production maintenance quality control and safety compliance.
   • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency minimize downtime and reduce costs.
   • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess plant performance and identify areas for improvement.
2. Safety and Environmental Compliance:
   • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
   • Implement and enforce safety protocols conduct regular safety meetings and promote a culture of safety awareness among employees.
   • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and strive for sustainable and environmentally responsible operations.
3. Personnel Management:
   • Lead motivate and develop a team of plant employees including supervisors operators and maintenance staff.
   • Provide training and guidance to employees on operating procedures safety protocols and quality standards.
   • Conduct performance evaluations address performance issues and promote a positive work culture.
4. Production Planning and Quality Control:
   • Develop production schedules and coordinate production activities to meet customer demand and inventory requirements.
   • Implement quality control measures to ensure the consistent production of highquality sand products.
   • Work closely with the quality assurance team to monitor product quality and address any deviations from standards.
5. Maintenance and Equipment Management:
   • Oversee maintenance activities including preventive maintenance programs equipment inspections and repairs.
   • Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
   • Develop and manage capital improvement projects to enhance plant efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Management or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
• 2 years of experience in plant management or related roles preferably in the sand or aggregates industry.
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of effectively leading teams and driving operational excellence.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of safety regulations environmental compliance and best practices in industrial operations.
• Experience in production planning quality control and maintenance management.
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
