Our client a leading familyowned logistics company based in Germany is embarking on an exciting journey to expand into the Consumer Goods sector. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to spearhead their efforts in this new contract logistics vertical. A true hunter!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Market Analysis: Utilize your expertise to analyze market trends and identify opportunities within the Consumer Goods space. Especially focused on Contract Logistics.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential clients in the Consumer Goods industry understanding their needs and offering tailored contract logistics solutions.
  • Industry Networking: Represent our client at industry events conferences and exhibitions to stay informed about market developments and expand our network within the Consumer Goods sector.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare compelling presentations and proposals to showcase our capabilities and win new business in this market.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and manage budgets and costs associated with business development activities in alignment with company objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with crossfunctional teams to optimize business practices and ensure seamless integration of new clients and projects.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior staff members fostering their professional growth within the organization.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in business development within the contract logistics or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of the Consumer Goods market and its dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive results and meet targets.
  • Fluency in both German and English languages.
