OCI Cloud Engineer

A successful candidate will be able to analyze business needs to help ensure Oracle Cloud solution meets the enterprise and business objectives by combining industry best practices

product knowledge and business acumen. This role needs to possess the ability to exercise good judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to connect our cloud applications to cloud services or on prem applications. This role also leads continuous development and enhancements of shared application frameworks while acting as an advanced

collaborator with development infrastructure and operations teams to develop monitor and tune security controls to support commitment to Zero Trust Architecture.

Responsibilities

OCI Cloud Engineer is responsible for design deploy and manage OCI infrastructure and services. Cloud Engineer works closely with developers

architects system administrators and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of OCI. Responsibilities will include

architecture design implementation of OCI solutions.

Specific Duties

Experience and complete knowledge of OCI Administration with strong understanding of Tenancy VCN Compartments Network Layers handling rewalls subnet storage options FSS Block Volume Object storage. OCI infraadministration including installation configuration migrations tuning patching administration & monitoring.

Hands on experience in writing and modifying Terraform scripts for deployments on OCI and for managing OCI Infrastructure.

Hands on experience with performance tuning hardware upgrades and resource optimization as required. Congure CPU memory and disk

partitions as required and ensure high availability of infrastructure.

Develop and maintain reusable templates and code to automate solution delivery and deployment processes across multiple cloud providers.

Collaborate with Enterprise architects security and SMEs to establish and enforce DevOps standards best practices and procedures.

Experience in OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Congure/add new services as necessary.

Experience around handling OS or Application related security vulnerabilities is an added advantage.

Exposure to using code repository like GIT.

Hands on Experience with provisioning storage compute nodes network. and understanding requirements for the same.

Experience with Certicate renewals on OCI.

Experience with security list Ingress Egress Subnets SSL Route Table congurations within OCI and managing applications in multitenant layers.

Understanding and hands on experience of HA architecture in an OCI environment.

Strong understanding of HA concepts in DR and setting up on Infrastructure for DR Site.

Experience with IaaS solutions: virtual machines/networks onpremises/hybrid cloud computing cloud identity security models

cloud monitoring logging local and cloud storage.

Should be wellversed with ITIL based service delivery for Incident Management Change Management Problem Management Capacity Management Conguration Management.

Prociency in scripting languages such as Python PowerShell or Bash is preferred.

Responsible for the cloud disaster recovery design and execution utilizing best practices.

Ensure the e#ective daily operation of the production / database applications and provides administrative support for new implementations upgrades and migrations.

Quali!cations

6 years of IT experience with cloud platforms such as Azure AWS or Google Cloud.

2 years of experience with Oracle cloud implementation as a senior team member.

Experience in migration of onpremises to Oracle cloud.

Demonstrable experience implementing Oracle Cloud solutions with largescale implementation project experience within global organizations.

Design deploy and manage scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on OCI.

Optimize OCI infrastructure for performance cost and security.

Develop and implement automation tools and processes for cloud infrastructure management.

Experience with CI/CD tools git /Jenkins GitOps model

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OCI.

Monitor OCI infrastructure performance and implement improvements as needed.

Hands on development experience with various cloud SaaS and IaaS

Use of modern practices to increase the speed of delivering software (e.g. Agile DevOps test automation etc.)

Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Quali!cations

BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent

Oracle OCI certications

Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD version control andtesting

Familiarity with AWS and Azure is a plus.
