The main function of a data analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases test and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. A typical database analyst/programmer is responsible for planning coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.

In this role the analyst will be responsible for planning budgeting communication and reporting related to Channel Experiences Operations across both existing and future partners. The ideal candidate should have experience in retail and marketing operations as well as proficiency in data analysis dashboard creation and budget management.

The primary focus of the Retail Operations Analyst is to ensure that all data budgets and records are accurately maintained and easily accessible. Visualization through dashboards is a key aspect. Additionally mastery and oversight of reports are critical for efficient operations.

The role requires proactive problemsolving skills and the ability to assess and implement solutions. It is impactdriven emphasizing accuracy and organization. The analyst collaborates across various teams including channel marketing finance operations sales analytics and external vendors in a dynamic and fastpaced environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Test programs or databases correct errors and make necessary modifications.
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.

Skills:
  • Verbal and written communication skills problemsolving skills customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time.
  • Basic knowledge of database management software.
Responsibilities include:
  • Data Gathering and Cleaning:
    • Collect and clean data from various sources including surveys websites and external datasets.
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
    • Develop and maintain data models.
  • Analysis and Interpretation:
    • Analyze sales figures inventory data and operational metrics.
    • Dive deep into retail data to uncover trends patterns and opportunities.
    • Evaluate performance metrics such as sales inventory and customer engagement behavior.
  • Process Optimization and Efficiency:
    • Build customized processes based on business needs and requirements.
    • Optimize partner sales and operational reports.
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to streamline operations.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Partner with Channel Marketing Managers Strategic Account Managers and other stakeholders.
    • Act as a liaison between global 3rd party labor partners and internal teams.
    • Foster positive relationships with manufacturer representatives and customers.
DecisionMaking:
  • Leverage partnerships with the internal analytics and data engineering team.
  • Assess and provide detailed recommendations for initiatives.
  • KPI Management and Budget Forecasting:
    • Develop KPI management tools and dashboards.
    • Collaborate with Finance on budget forecasting reports.
  • Operational Insights and Strategic Solutions:
    • Analyze processes to improve performance for end users.
    • Propose innovative solutions based on datadriven insights.
  • Reporting and Data Integrity:
    • Create comprehensive reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
    • Ensure data accuracy and consistency within the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Economics Statistics or Data Science).
  • 5 years of professional experience in retail finance channel marketing analytics or relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel SQL Python R).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in retail analytics or related fields is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Creating/Managing Data Visualization experience with proficiency in Tableau/PowerBi preferred.
  • Microsoft and Google Suite expert proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Consumer Electronics experience.
  • Experience with Tableau PowerBi Alteryx Hive and other data visualization and customization tools.
  • Tableau Certified Data Analyst preferred.
  • Familiarity with retail partners and their guidelines/processes.
  • Experience within a brand managing analysis and budgets.

Education/Experience:
  • Associates degree in computer programming or equivalent training required.
