Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing phacoemulsification surgeries
• Conducting preoperative assessments
• Managing postoperative care and followup appointments
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team
• Adhering to safety and infection control protocols
• Participating in departmental meetings and professional development activities
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient records
• Providing education and support to patients and their families
• Adhering to ethical and legal standards
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives
• Maintaining uptodate knowledge of best practices and advancements in ophthalmic surgery
• Contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment

Required Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree
• Residency training in ophthalmology
• Board certification in ophthalmology
• Licensure to practice medicine and perform surgery
• Proven experience in phacoemulsification surgery
• Excellent surgical dexterity and precision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Sound clinical judgment and decisionmaking abilities
• Knowledge of ophthalmic surgical techniques and equipment
