Intermediate Project Engineer

IPS is an international company with inhouse Engineering and specialized services across Project Management for industries Automation and Architecture. EPCM expertise more than 10 countries around the globe but an entrepreneurial and teambuilding mindset.

With an average age of 32 we are encouraged to channel our curiosity and innovative thinking into projects.

Now we are looking for a Project engineer in our office in Rotterdam Netherlands.

Being a project engineer is about participating to a wide range of project from production site improvement to significant plant construction. It involves different work phase such as :

Project feasibility: master plan investment plan conceptual design overall time schedule execution strategy.

Project preparation: investment analysis basic engineering permitting financing procurement.

Project execution: project control detailed engineering construction precommissioning and commissioning management.

What is the role About

Depending of their experience and opportunities project engineers undertake the following responsibilities:

Collaborate on the Business Development for Industry BU.

Follow the Business Development strategy.

Provide support in quotations and attending important customer meetings where needed.

Manage schedule budgets and projects resources.

Make sure the project complies with legal requirements especially health and safety.

Ensure projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time.

Assess potential risks materials and costs.

Collaborate and liaise with a variety of project stakeholders.

Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.

Provide advice and resolve any emerging problems/deficiencies creatively.

Undertake technical and feasibility studies including site investigations.

Review / Coordinate design and resolve development problems.

Provide contract and purchase order management support.

Ensure worksite management activities and contractor supervision.

Requirements

MSC/ M. Engineering.

Knowledge and experience within EPCm projects chemical industry construction and/or maintenance.

Background in chemicals process life science and/or mechanical engineering.

610 years of total experience.

47 years in project Management.

Fluent in English and French or Dutch. A third language is a plus.

Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.

Project management and supervision skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Leadership skills to effectively manage a diverse group of professionals working on one project.

Ability to coordinate more than one project at a time.

Proficiency in MS Project Autocad Naviswork MS Office (Excel PowerPoint Word).

Driver license B.

Travel availability is required (more than 60%).
