Role Overview: Logistics Manager

As our Logistics Manager you will play a pivotal role in setting up managing and expanding our new 16000 sq ft warehouse. Leading a core operations team you will oversee the growth of our inventory and the scaling of our operations. This includes introducing refurbishment capabilities such as cleaning reupholstery and renovation. Your leadership will ensure we meet our ambitious targets for inventory turnover and revenue growth while maintaining our reputation for quality and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management: Lead and develop a growing team ensuring high levels of motivation efficiency and skill development. Plan for team expansion and the integration of refurbishment capabilities.

Operational Excellence: Manage warehouse operations to ensure scalable growth allowing for smooth handling of approximately 500 new arrivals per month and 500 sales per month. Implement systems and processes for inventory management order fulfilment and refurbishment.

Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of care for all items overseeing the preparation repair and refurbishment of preowned furniture.

Inventory Management: Oversee the management and expansion of our inventory from 400 to approximately 2000 pieces utilising technology to track analyse and optimise warehouse logistics.

Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior management to align warehouse operations with our growth objectives. Contribute to strategic decisions regarding logistics inventory expansion and operational scaling.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in warehouse management within a logistics environment handling highvalue items.
• Experience in leading and developing teams with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and project management skills with a keen eye for detail and a focus on efficiency and quality.
• Technological proficiency particularly in inventory management systems and collaborative tools.
• A background in logistics supply chain management freight or related fields is highly desirable.
