Environmental Scientist

Responsibilities:

• Plan prioritize organize and mentor staff
  
• Conduct ASTM/AAI compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) projects (site inspections research/interviews data review/interpretation and report writing)
  
• Responsible for the planning coordination and contractor oversight of subsurface investigation projects (Phase II ESAs underground storage tank (UST) removal remediation and other field sampling projects)
  
• Complete Tier 1 level technical review of various environmental assessment reports workplans and other environmentalrelated documentation
  
• Provide supplemental field and technical support on National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) projects including Categorical Exclusions (CEs) Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs).
  
• Attend meetings
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Environmental Science Geology or a related engineering degree
  
• 5 years of experience performing ASTM/AAI compliant Phase I ESAs Phase II ESAs and other subsurface investigations
  
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Word and Excel
  
• Professional interpersonal skills needed to interact directly with clients
  
• OSHA 40hour certification and current 8hour refresher certification preferred
  
• Michigan and Ohio regulatory experience preferred
  
• Travel for day trips and occasional
  

Salary is commensurate with experience.
