Job Description

Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a group in Ohio.

Company Overview:

With a team of highly skilled physicians and affiliated providers they ensure the highest quality of care in hospitals and various inpatient facilities prioritizing patient wellbeing at every step.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive physician coverage in hospital settings including emergency departments and inpatient units.
Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to provide patientcentered care.
Engage in daily operations with an average daily census of 31.6 and nightly admissions averaging around 56.
Maintain continuous 24hour physician coverage with shifts structured as follows: two physicians from 7 AM to 7 PM and one physician from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Support Advanced Practice Provider (APP) shifts from 11 AM to 11 PM.
Provide care within a 12bed ICU addressing complex patient needs effectively.

Requirements:

Ohio Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License
Active DEA Licensure
At least 2 years of experience as an NP or PA in Emergency Medicine

Specialty Coverage and Support:

Specialty coverage includes Pulmonology (available Monday through Friday with evening and weekend call support) Surgery Orthopedics Cardiology Pediatrics Ophthalmology and Interventional Radiology (including paracentesis thoracentesis bone marrow biopsies and port insertions).
Access to a dedicated PICC line nurse further supporting patient care.
Ongoing training by Anesthesia for Respiratory Therapy (RT) in patient intubation with RT support available around the clock.
