OVERVIEW
The HR Generalist is responsible for performing fullcycle talent processes on a professional level and works closely with the VP of HR and the global HR Team in supporting our organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration HRIS administration employee relations performance management onboarding/offboarding policy implementation recruitment/employment engagement and employment law compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Benefits/HRIS Administration:
- Administer our health and wellness/benefits programs and serve as first point of contact for employee/vendor issues and questions
- Performs benefits administration including open enrollment STD/LTD/FMLA processing claims resolution change reporting approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees
- Administer the Objective/Goal setting and quarterly feedback cycle in our HRIS
- Function as a HRIS Administrator i.e. maintains human resource information system records
- Generate reports and assist in data analysis to support HR decisionmaking
Culture Promotion and Employee Engagement:
- Lead the team in putting together our HR quarterly newsletter
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement morale and retention
- Organize teambuilding activities recognition programs and cultural events to celebrate our workforce with the other HR team members
Onboarding/Recruitment:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires including paperwork. completion orientation sessions and ensuring a smooth transition into the company
- As needed conduct salary benchmarking and analysis to stay competitive in the market
- Extend job offers to successful candidates
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 35 years of Generalist experience
- Bachelor s degree in human resources Business Admin. or related field
- Strong understanding of HR principles practices and employment laws.
- Strong ability to influence and collaborate. Has a forwardthinking mindset proactive instead of reactive
- Relevant experience seeing the big picture and planning out details to execute.
- Strong process and planning orientation.
- You are a US person this is a requirement due to ITAR regulations
- Ability to obtain a Trusted Role within Exostar
- Function as true member of the team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- aPHR PHR SHRMCP certifications (a plus not required)
- Advance experience with HRIS Systems (UKG preferably)
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Suite (Word Outlook Power Point and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal communication problem solving and reasoning skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
