Reports to: Engineering Manager

Job Summary:
The Design Engagement Specialist position is responsible for the development of the client s interior design
project. This includes drafting floor plans research regarding the selection and detailing of finish materials and
sourcing quotes to meet the clients expectations and Volpe s standards.

Responsibilities:
Draft floor plans elevations and perspectives for Interior Sales.
Design: Provide selection assistance of materials for prospective clients when necessary.
Create "Picture Books" for designed projects.
Gather material quotes for designed projects.
"Rehash" specific projects as instructed by supervisor.
Run new appointments as directed by supervisor.
Assemble pricing submission proposal folders for designed projects.
Staff setup break down and set appointments at events community days and home shows.
Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
Operates safely in all conditions.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Follows company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Previous design experience with construction remodeling projects or custom homes required.
1 Years of 2020 design experience preferred.
1 Years of residential construction preferred.
Passion and expertise for interior design.
General knowledge of Google Suite or related software preferred.
The ability to seek out accept and integrate leadership feedback.
Experience in resolving problems that arise during the project construction.
Excellent Verbal and Written Skills.
Professional attitude and appearance.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Prolonged periods standing climbing bending and kneeling.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Must have manual dexterity a good sense of balance and excellent handeye coordination

Qualifications: Knowledge: Contract Administration and Office Procedures. Consultant work to maintain efficiencies and meet deadlines. In-depth understanding of the basics of most building systems. Skills: Four-year architectural degree preferred or equivalent work experience. Demonstration of 3 to 5 years of project management experience in commercial architecture. Demonstrated CADD proficiency. Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Pursuing an architect s license. Abilities: Multi-tasking and Establishing Priorities. Problem-solving. Exhibiting initiative, Responsibility, and Flexibility. Detail-Oriented. Creative Thinking; visualization. Tact, diplomacy, and professional manner when dealing with the public. Handling multiple projects and details simultaneously. Activity Requirements: Physical Effort: Normal physical mobility and agility (reach above the head, bend or stoop). Normal physical strength to handle 10-25 pound objects, taking frequency into consideration. Normal physical ability to sit and draft and/or review drawings for extended periods of time. Normal dexterity of hands and fingers. Normal coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot. Travel to clients, job sites, and vendor meetings. Frequent use of computer, copier, and telephone. Mental Effort: Normal concentration and memory. Normal complexity of decision-making. Work Environment: Occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. Noise level at the work environment/job site may be loud.
