Tasks

As the Manager of Engineering at CO2OPT you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our visionary technology strategy to drive business success. You will be in charge of our information technology and cloudsystems fortifying data and cyber security orchestrating optimal allocation of IT resources and nurturing pivotal relationships with strategic vendors and technology partners. With your assertiveness you will guide the development and deployment of groundbreaking technology solutions establishing and upholding rigorous technology standards and practices. Collaborating seamlessly with other team members you will spearhead innovation initiatives catalyzing the delivery of transformative new products that propel us towards disrupting an established industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the design and implementation of sophisticated and highly scalable technical solutions in collaboration with our founders to address both current and future needs.
• Refine and define solutions based on user feedback industry trends and cuttingedge technology ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Champion the technological vision in key discussions advocating for innovation and excellence.
• Develop monitor and optimize annual operating and capital budgets for procurement staffing and operational needs ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Strategically manage and optimize infrastructure assets to achieve internal financial targets driving efficiency and costeffectiveness.
• Establish and enforce comprehensive technology standards and practices fostering a culture of excellence and adherence across the organization.
• Consolidate technology platforms and develop strategic plans for each driving efficiency and alignment with business objectives.
• Monitor and analyze technology performance metrics driving continuous improvement and optimization efforts.
• Provide oversight and guidance on all system design and architecture changes ensuring scalability reliability and security.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in the technology landscape incorporating relevant insights into strategic decisionmaking.
• Promote thought leadership foster innovation and cultivate a culture of creativity within the organization driving continuous improvement and growth.

Requirements

• First experience in a leading role within Engineering or a related field.
• Degree in Engineering Computer Science or a relevant discipline.
• Enthusiasm for establishing toptier infrastructure and tech solutions.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on key business metrics for decisionmaking.
• Comprehensive understanding of web systems architecture design and development.
• Experience with Machine Learning Models and Data Science.
• Deep understanding of data and cyber security principles including relevant ISO certifications.
• Handson experience in managing complex projects.
• Exceptional communication interpersonal and team player abilities.
• Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
• Proficient in negotiation and vendor management.
• Proactive problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
• Fluent proficiency in both German and English (spoken and written).

Preferred Tech Stack Experience:

• Proficiency in NodeJS ReactJS PostgreSQL MongoDB Python various API protocols Docker ELK as well as Azure (Cognitive Services Form Recognizer) and AWS (IAM ECS EC2 RDS Aurora S3 EKS).
