The Senior Javascript Engineer will design and develop usercentric experiences using the latest web technologies. Our clients web application is predominantly written in Java and makes extensive use of current tools such as React Grunt Gulp and Angular. You will be responsible for identifying and leveraging the best opensource libraries and writing additional custom JavaScript libraries or library extensions when required. Specific development will range over a variety of tasks from core user interactions to data processing for analytics and simulation modeling.

Qualifications

  • Masters 2 yrs Bachelors 4 yrs or 57 yrs overall experience with responsive and singlepage web applications
  • Expert in use of JavaScript HTML and CSS
  • Experience with AngularJS Bootstrap Sass Webpack
  • Familiarity with npm packages such as Bower Grunt
  • Experience with agile development
  • Advanced mathematical modeling skills
  • Knowledge of d3.js and other advanced JavaScriptbased visualization libraries
  • Knowledge of information security and with risk management or finance applications
  • Reside in Hampton Roads area or able to relocate to the Norfolk area
  • Experience of the following preferred: REST Web Services SOAP Web Services Version Control Systems Soap UI and Unit Testing Tools
