Director of Information Technology

As they strive for excellence they are currently seeking a highly skilled individual to undertake the role of IT Director for their U.S. operations. This pivotal position encompasses overseeing the entire Information Technology Department and devising strategic technology systems for U.S. operations including the management of the local SAP IT Application support team. This role entails up to 15% travel which may include international travel. Standard business hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with the flexibility necessary to accommodate the schedules of both internal and external customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaboration and Strategy Development: Collaborate closely with our clients headquarters in Germany to align IT strategies with U.S. technology needs effectively.
• Team Support and Guidance: Provide comprehensive support and guidance to the SAP IT Applications support team ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
• Communication Strategy Leadership: Develop and implement robust IT communication strategies to foster transparency and alignment across the organization.
• Project Management and Resource Allocation: Efficiently manage direct and allocate resources to various IT projects ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Analytical ProblemSolving: Analyze complex business needs and spearhead the implementation of innovative technical solutions to address them effectively.
• Digitalization Initiatives: Champion internal digitalization initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and cultivate a modern work environment.
• Technology Oversight: Oversee the effectiveness of technology applications and assess their performance against established goals.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with global IT standards policies and systems to bolster corporate strategies and goals while also safeguarding information integrity and network security.
• Financial Management: Develop and manage the IT budget ensuring optimal resource allocation and costeffectiveness.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other related duties as assigned to support the smooth functioning of the IT department and the organization as a whole.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field.
• Ten years of experience in leading IT strategy and operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities coupled with the capacity to interpret technical instructions and documents.
• Proficiency in computer networks network security hardware and software applications and technology application development and implementation.
• Preferable experience with ERP systems particularly SAP.
• A current valid drivers license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required.

• A willingness to work in the Kansas City corporate office from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Flexibility to travel occasionally up to 15% including international travel.
