Responsibilities:

  • Safety Culture Advocacy: Champion a zeroincident mentality reinforcing our commitment to unparalleled safety standards across the organization.
  • Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Guarantee adherence to all applicable federal state and local EHS laws regulations and codes ensuring our operations remain compliant and exceed industry standards.
  • EHS Program Leadership: Serve as the subject matter expert developing and maintaining comprehensive environmental health and safety programs including ISO 14001 compliance.
  • Training and Development: Design and execute sitespecific EHS training programs enhancing the workforces safety and environmental awareness.
  • Audit and Inspection Coordination: Lead internal and external EHS audits fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Emergency Preparedness Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of emergency response procedures ensuring readiness and resilience in the face of unforeseen incidents.
  • Health and Wellness Oversight: Direct initiatives aimed at enhancing employee health and wellness contributing to a safe and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Health & Safety Environmental Science or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in an EHS role preferably within a manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrable expertise in OSHA DOT and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and familiar with safety management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proactive handson approach with a proven ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong organizational planning and project management capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a focus on practical solutions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills capable of engaging with staff at all levels within the organization from production floor personnel to senior management.
