Traveler will automatically be declined. **Only submit traveler who can work schedule in posting and interested in the unit.We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:Join our remarkable Medical/Surgical Float team.Be part of a wide variety of highlevel nursing skills such as evaluating med/surg patients administering care recognizing complications and coordinating with other members of the team.Take part in the interpersonal communication leadership strategic planning critical thinking as well as decisionmaking that is a part of the Med/Surg float team.Be a part of the Remarkable learning opportunities at a Level One Trauma Center Magnet designated facility and worldrenowned academic health system. Minimum Requirements: Facility Requirement: Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in travelers profile: resume Medefis portal and all onboarding documentation must have permanent address listed). Experience: Must have experience working in different Med/Surg units (cardiac spine neuro). Floating experience preferred. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years. Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital. Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks). Licensure and Certification: Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state. BLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY Reference Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only). Telemetry Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions). UW Health Recruitment will send instructions to traveler 23 weeks prior to start date. Floating Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the travelers competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler s assignment if the primary unit no longer has a need shifts will be reassigned to another unit in order to complete contract. Shift: 36 hrs/wk Evening/Night 12 hr shifts MondayFriday and every other weekend between the hours of. and some holidays.
