Job Description

Aldi is looking for a Server Admin to help drive their Server refresh in their 2400 locations over the next 6 months. This resource will join their team at the beginning of April and partner with the dedicated Project Manager over the refresh along with other admins on the current Data Center team. Aldi is looking to upgrade 20 stores a night from their current Windows 2016 Server to Windows 2022 Servers. Aldi will have a team of technicians who will be responsible to being boots on the ground at their physical store locations doing the upgrades overnight. This resource will be responsible for coming in the next morning analyze & triage any issues that occurred from the previous nights install (ex. there is a server that is still down why is it still down and how do we get it operational so that the store does not lose revenue).

Skills they are looking for:

1. Prior Windows Server 2022 upgrades (going from 2016 to 2022)

2. Project Management skills being able to help drive the Server Refresh project w/ stores & internal stakeholders. They will be need to communicate with the store to make sure they are ready for the installation help with some of the scheduling help with post installation support.

3. PowerShell able to modify and read scripts

4. VMware knowledge is a plus

5. General Data Center knowledge of equipment and overall knowledge of the physical equipment

6. Monitoring tool is CheckMK (any monitoring tool will work they will get training on CheckMK)

7. ServiceNow Experience bring able to track and create reports in ServiceNow
