Category Manager Packaging fmd - Healthcare Industry

We are searching for a Category Manager Packaging with substantial experience in both primary and secondary packaging within the pharmaceutical industry. This position requires an adept professional capable of handling a significant spend volume of approximately 3540 million and driving strategic procurement initiatives across European sites.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategizing and developing both near and longterm procurement roadmaps for primary and secondary packaging categories ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
• Cultivating strong relationships with internal stakeholders supporting senior leaders by providing strategic procurement insights that impact the business trajectory.
• Indepth market analysis to understand key players and demand drivers for packaging categories.
• Managing relationships and contractual agreements with key suppliers ensuring compliance and optimal commercial conditions.
• Leading Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes and negotiations with suppliers to cover substantial spend not currently under contract.
• Oversight of spend data supplier performance and compliance with a focus on capturing financial savings and ensuring contract lifecycle management.

Requirements

What Youll Bring:

• Demonstrated experience in category management particularly in pharmaceutical packaging.
• At least 5 years of work experience with a strong analytical structured and methodical approach to procurement.
• A collaborative mindset with effective communication skills capable of engaging with people at the site level and senior leadership.
• A high degree of selfmotivation a cando attitude and proven negotiation skills.
• A university degree in a related field and comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes.
