JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a fulltime FrontEnd Software Developer. Based in College Station we are a consulting company developing automation software to serve the electric power industry. This person will be an integral part of developing a new application that mixes a modern webstack based frontend with a C backend.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a fulltime FrontEnd Software Developer. Based in College Station we are a consulting company developing automation software to serve the electric power industry. This person will be an integral part of developing a new application that mixes a modern webstack based frontend with a C backend.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use React and other web technologies to build desktop apps in Electron
- Develop API to interface with C backend
- Participate in code design and reviews
- Write unit and integration tests for new and existing features
- Collaborate with other frontend developers to write concise documentation
- Stay up to date with the latest technology and best practices in web development.
- Applying software development best practices
- Willingness to learn Power System domain
- Other duties as assigned
- Estimated 10% travel
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with FrontEnd GUI Development HTML CSS and related web technologies
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks
- Experience with Electron/using the webstack for desktop application is a huge plus but not required.
- Working knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as common datastructures and algorithms.
- Experience with Git Jira and other software development tools.
- Ability to collaborate well in a team environment.
- Strong time management skills.
