We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join CDPs European Disclosure team. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with global multinationals around the disclosure requirements of their strategies to mitigate climate change improve water security and tackle deforestation. We seek staff motivated to work with people nurture relationships contribute to major income streams such as admin fee and sponsorships and generate leads for our membership programs as well as interested in efficient processes and the application of our questionnaires and scoring methodologies to corporate sustainability success.

The role includes

• Engaging directly with European companies (primary focus on the Nordic region Sweden Norway Denmark Finland) motivating them to respond to CDPs questionnaires and leading them to progress on the journey to environmental leadership to support their environmental management CDP reporting memberships and commitments;
• Supporting companies along their key disclosure & scoring requirements for CDPs climate change water security and forest programs and ensuring high disclosure rates for all programs;
• Managing and developing these relationships along the CDP journey to environmental leadership following CDPs strategic priorities;
• Engaging companies to join CDPs key ambition initiatives such as the ScienceBased Targets initiative and RE100;
• Generating leads for our membership programs (Supply Chain and Reporter Services)
• Inputting and coorganizing technical events in the region in particular workshops/webinars; input into and support CDP Europes annual European Award Ceremony;
• Taking on specialisations i.e. building up subject matter expertise on a sector or particular environmental subject coordinating a CDP Europe report or overseeing the production of engagement material;
• Assisting with adhoc tasks as required.

The successful candidate should have

• Minimum BA/BSc degree or equivalent experience (Masters degree preferred);
• 3 years of prior work experience in the corporate sustainability space (e.g. in a CSR department an environmental consultancy an NGO or similar); experience with working with external partners is a strong asset;
• Excellent English skills (verbal and written minimum C1 level); Nordic language(s) or other European languages are an asset;
• Keen interest in corporate sustainability themes and related company challenges; knowledge of and experience working with water security forests and/or biodiversity matters is an asset;
• Enjoy working with people and large corporations for a good purpose excellent communication and negotiation skills;
• Ability to interact convincingly with people at different levels of seniority and from different cultural backgrounds;
• Ability to take initiative prioritise and work calm under pressure;
• Strong analytical and creative problemsolving skills;
• Love for data and information and utilizing it to change the world;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Excel Word Power Point) and CRM systems.
