Are you a seasoned legal professional seeking a meaningful impact in the notforprofit sector We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel based in Northwest Sydney.
Position Overview:
Our client a notforprofit organization has been providing quality support and lifestyle choices for almost 90 years. With over 900 staff they service residents and customers across retirement residential and respite settings in NSW.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team your role focuses on strengthening governance and compliance foundations in a changing regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the legal framework and negotiation of external legal counsel are fit for purpose and professionally managed.
- Establish a governance and policy framework to identify track and satisfy legal compliance and governance requirements.
- Represent the organization with industry bodies peak bodies and key external stakeholders.
- Lead effective tendering negotiation procurement and contract management across various transactions.
- Lead a highperforming governance compliance and procurement team embodying the organiations values.
Requirements
- 8 years postadmission experience and admission as a solicitor in New South Wales Australia.
- Contemporary industry knowledge in commercial law contract law industrial relations and governance.
- Exposure to the notforprofit and charitable sector.
- Exceptional negotiation stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to implement sustainable change and a systems thinking methodology.
- Passion for staying updated on organizational governance compliance legislative and regulatory frameworks.
