Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care.
• Assess plan implement and evaluate care based on agespecific components.
• Coordinate care focused on patient transition through the continuum of care patient and family education and supporting factors impacting customer satisfaction.
• Administer medications and treatment procedures per established policies and guidelines.
• Consider all characteristics of the individual to assist each patient in meeting basic health needs and improving health status.
• Demonstrate knowledge of VA policies procedures and clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to influence outcomes and participate in quality improvement processes.
• Develop and evaluate unitlevel standards of care policies procedures and nursing programs.
• Complete required education in prescribed timelines including Talent Management recertification and continuing education.
• Ensure actions contribute to continued accreditation readiness regarding various survey teams.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by ACEN or CCNE or equivalent foreign nursing education.
• Current full active and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State Territory or Commonwealth of the United States.
• Experience in outpatient care preferred.
• BLS certification required.
