Responsibilities

Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure

Install configure test and maintain operating systems application software andsystem management tools and databases

Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks identify possiblesolutions and work with developers to implement those fixes

Design and Maintain security backup and redundancy strategies

Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the humanintervention time on any tasks

Lead in the design of information and operational support systems

Use your technical knowledge and experience to foster collaboration on the team

Provide support to endusers and external clients

Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Requirements

DevOps engineering experience within a team environment following a Scrumdelivery methodology.

Experience of scripting languages e.g. Python Bash Powershell Ansible etc.

Experience of metrics analysis and implementing metricsbased monitoring alertingand automation

Experience in the administration of version control systems such as Git and/or SVN.

Experience of CI/CD build and deployment pipelines

Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferable)

Experience in engineering and advanced troubleshooting in a 99% Linuxenvironment.

Experience in MySQL/MariaDB administration and related technologies

AWS Certified and experience in design and administration of AWS and similar cloudenvironments such as Azure or GCP

Location of Role

Flexible location with requirement to travel to our new office in the centre of Glasgow.

Dimensions

Reporting into Head of DevOps with no direct reports.

Remuneration and benefits

Salary of 25k 45k depending on experience
