Job Description

Our client is actively searching for a Regional Sales Manager to lead sales initiatives within the food industry specifically in Ohio. This position operating autonomously entails overseeing the complete sales cycle from prospecting to finalizing deals while aligning with sales targets.


Travel:


Extensive travel up to 80% of the time is integral to this role necessitating longdistance travel with frequent overnight stays. The majority of time will be spent either at the Northeast Regional Office or at the incumbents home office for thorough preparation and followup. Occasional weekend travel may be required for meetings and trade shows with some international travel also anticipated.


Responsibilities:


1. Identify sales prospects among existing clientele and potential customers through diverse prospecting methods.

2. Attain territory bookings and invoiced sales targets.

3. Efficiently manage travel schedule to optimize customer engagements.

4. Provide requisite information and documentation for sales proposals and orders.

5. Leverage resources like CRM marketing tools and support personnel to advance sales procedures.

6. Maintain uptodate and precise CRM records.

7. Contribute to the development and execution of a business plan and budget for the designated territory.

8. Monitor and report competitive activities within the territory.

9. Attend trade shows sales meetings and industry events as necessary.

10. Stay informed about industry trends and sales strategies.


Qualifications:


1. Bachelors degree preferred; however consultative sales experience is essential.

2. A minimum of four years experience in selling Customized Capital Equipment to EndUsers within the Food Packaging or Food Processing sectors. Candidates with at least two years of relevant sales experience will also be considered.

3. Possession of a current valid drivers license and the capability to obtain a passport for travel.

4. Demonstrated proficiency in lead generation through various means such as trade shows networking and coldcalling.

5. Technical understanding of capital equipment machinery and operations with a background in selling intricate tailored solutions.

6. Proven track record of sales success showcasing a consultative approach to negotiation and deal closure.

7. Strong existing relationships with customers or decisionmakers in the food processing or packaging industry.

8. Bachelors degree in Engineering is advantageous.

9. Proficiency in Office 365 tools and CRM systems.


Work Environment:


This role entails exposure to diverse environmental conditions including wet/humid conditions moving mechanical parts and extreme temperatures. Physical requirements may involve occasional lifting/moving up to 25 pounds and frequent walking and sitting activities.
