Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Days 6:30 AM 7:00 PM 12

Shift Notes: 6:30A 7P (12 Hour Days) / 1 night of call per week & Every 4th Weekend (36 Hour Guarantee)

Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd Weekend

OnCall Requirements: 1 night a week and every 3rd weekend

Travel Policy: Cannot accept local candidates that live within 50 miles of the facility.

This position prepares the surgical suite for the procedure by assisting the surgical technologist along with the registered nurse in gathering equipment instruments and supplies to perform the procedure. Assure all supplies and equipment are available for the procedure and in working condition. This position assists the surgeon in the care of the patient while in the operating room by providing exposure aid in hemostasis closure and other intraoperative technical functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with maximum results for the patient. In providing proper draping retracting suctioning sponging suturing tissue handling and cautery techniques. The assistant will apply appropriate dressing material specific to the procedure. This position assists the surgeon in the care of the patient while in the operating room through the utilization of the operating room team concept.

• 1 years of First Assist experience Required
• BLS (AHA) Required
• NBSTSA NCCT or ABSA Required
