Job Summary:

• Responsible for process capability cost reduction and continuous improvement project implementation within their designated manufacturing cell . Provides specific engineering work related to field of expertise with broad overlap between engineering disciplines expected. Support capacity planning and growth as well as define budgeted rates and process documentation. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems policies procedures and best practices and all local state
• federal and BD safety regulations policies and procedures. Regular punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Implements and sustains BDPS work process for the manufacturing cell.
• Identifies critical equipment setting and creation of standards.
• Creates technical knowledge for the manufacturing cell and transfers the knowledge to the operator and technical associates.
• Coach associates on continuous improvement methodologies within the manufacturing cell and leading the autonomous maintenance process.
• Understands top losses within the manufacturing cell and develops and implements plans to eliminate losses and drive OEE performance.
• Responsible for manufacturing cell change control including validation activities root cause analysis of prioritized OEE losses and quality events and deviations.
• Act as technical specialists advising how methods and concepts should be applied to their area and expanded to organizationwide problems and developments.
• Plan and execute activities for multiple major or complicated projects processes and equipment.
• Receive limited guidance to achieve broad objectives
• Represent the organization about their area of expertise including leading presentations.
• Develop and oversee budgets as well as write proposals for major or complicated projects.
• Advise and negotiate in terms of critical issues.
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Education:

• This position has the following minimum educational requirements:

BA/BS Degree Required:

• Engineering degree Mechanical Industrial and Manufacturing preferred

Minimum Experience:

• 5 years Manufacturing experience preferred
