**Traveler must meet all minimum requirements below to be consider. **Do not submit traveler who have or will have expiring licenses and/or certifications during time frame of entire assignment. We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:Join our new Thoracic Surgery teamHelp implement innovative ideas so quality patient centered care can be provided.Be part of developing a dynamic general care/IMC unit utilizing strong teamwork providing compassionate care and employing critical thinking.Engage in acquiring new skills and integrating evidencebased nursing practices into the unit culture.Minimum Requirements: Facility Requirement: Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in travelers profile: resume Medefis portal and all onboarding documentation must have permanent address listed). Experience: ICU or IMC and surgical postop experience required. If ICU must be willing to work with ICU or general care patient population. Thoracic experience preferred. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years. Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital. Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks). Licensure and Certification: Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state. *Will consider candidates without WI or compact license but must apply for a temporary license under the Wisconsin Act 10 order within 48 hours of offer accepted and provide screenshot of application submitted. Traveler must complete this requirement prior to being cleared to start. BLS & ACLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY Education: List from PD (education verification required) Reference Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only). Telemetry Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions). UW Health Recruitment will send instructions to traveler 23 weeks prior to start date. Floating Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the travelers competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler s assignment if the primary unit no longer has a need shifts will be reassigned to another unit in order to complete contract. Shift: 36 hrs/week Night 12 hour shifts every other weekends rotation and holidays as operationally needed.
