Job Title: Project Engineer Mechanical
Function: Distilling
Location: Invergordon
Contract: Full Time / Permanent Onsite Monday to Thursday 08:00am 4:30pm & Friday 08:00 14:00 (38 hours p/w)

What the opportunity looks like:
The project engineer (Mechanical) will be responsible for the delivery of assigned Capital Projects within Whyte and Mackay (Distilling). They will be required to follow the engineering governance requirements which will include elements of writing tender documents obtaining quotations adhering to and producing budgets working alongside procurement and legal to agree contracts and manage design/ delivery installation and commissioning of the projects all in line with the business requirements.
To provide mechanical engineering support to the Invergordon Dalmore Jura Tamnavulin and Fettercairn Distillery production sites on improvement projects and maintenance activities where required.
Working alongside production and other engineers must be able to define a problem then scope design and deliver a safe costeffective solution. You will be required to work on own or as part of a team depending on task. As well as creation of documentation and appraise proposals for work through our Safe Systems of Work to ensure a safe and sustainable environment.
- Collect and analyse production data to measure efficiencies to increase volume.
- Write engineering specifications technical and tender documentation.
- Develop appropriate engineering solutions to suit business requirements.
- Working with production to understand the issues which are constraining production and lead on projects/modification to address.
- Provide suitable design solutions ensuring the safest practicable option is selected.
Skills and experience that will help you be a success:
For this role were looking for:
- Previous experience within a similar role.
- Experience managing engineering projects.
- Qualification in a relevant engineering subject.
- Full driving license.
