Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience working with mainframe systems like IBM z/OS COBOL JCL and VSAM.
• Prior involvement in system analysis design and implementation preferably within a mainframe environment.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Proficiency in mainframe programming languages such as COBOL PL/I or Assembler.
• Knowledge of mainframe utilities and tools for development debugging and performance tuning.
• Understanding of mainframe databases and file systems including DB2 IMS and VSAM.
• Familiarity with mainframe batch processing and scheduling tools.
• Experience with version control systems specific to mainframe environments.
• Understanding of mainframe security and access control mechanisms.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders including business users mainframe developers and project managers.
• Capability to comprehensively document system requirements designs and technical solutions.
• Capacity to work within crossfunctional teams and facilitate communication between technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Understanding of business processes to develop solutions aligned with organizational goals.
• Ability to evaluate and prioritize business needs effectively.
• Basic project management skills for task coordination and successful project delivery.
• Experience with project management tools used in mainframe environments.
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest technologies tools and industry trends relevant to mainframe systems and analysis.
