Position: Java Developer
Location: Fort Meade MD
Required: Active TS/SCI Full Scope Poly
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or related discipline with 7 or more years related experience (Masters with 5 years); other degrees and certifications/total experience considered in lieu of degree requirements
- 7 years of experience in design and fullstack development of data driven highly scalable web applications with rich user interface in distributed cloud computing environment
- 7 years of one or more core programming language (Java C# JavaScript)
- 3 years of using a modern JavaScript framework and libraries such React Angular D3 Vue
- US citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance; current clearance preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for full stack software development life cycle; including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing monitoring and operations
- Demonstrated experience in delivering software projects using agile/scrum methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior software engineers in all aspects of their engineering skillsets
- Strong troubleshooting skills; able to resolve issues and support configuration issues for developers independently
- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior management to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy; communication/interpersonal skills with both functional and technical counterparts
- Experience with configuration management Automated testing and Test/Behavior Driven Development (B/TDD) Methods; Functional Load and Performance Testing; Unit Regression and Integration Testing; RIA webbased application development; Web services development and SOA design
- Experience with automated testing (Junit Cypress)
- Experience with web technologies and techniques (HTML5 CSS AJAX)
- Applicable industry technical/leadership certifications: AWS/cloud practitioner certifications Certified Scrummaster (CSM) Security or others
