Location: Minneapolis MN / Brookfield WI (clients preference is for MN location pls see if candidate would like to go to MN)

Rate: $60/hr (little bit negotiable)

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Database Modeling Expert to join our team and play a key role in designing the modern canonical data model for our API abstraction layer. In this role you will collaborate closely with our clients to understand their legacy data models and transform them into efficient scalable Relational or NoSQL database architectures.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and understand clients legacy data models and business requirements.

Design and implement modern canonical data models in PostgreSQL and Cassandra to support API abstraction layer development.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure alignment between data models and application requirements.

Optimize database performance and scalability for readintensive workloads.

Develop and maintain documentation related to data models schema design and database architecture.

Requirements:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.

Proven experience in database modeling schema design and database architecture with expertise in PostgreSQL and Cassandra.

Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL database concepts and principles.

Experience working with legacy systems and modernizing data models is preferred.

Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams.
