Job Title: Plastic Extrusion Engineering Manager

Job Overview: We are in search of a highly skilled and seasoned Manager of Plastic Extrusion Engineering to take charge of the setup operation and enhancement of our plastic extrusion production line. The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in plastic extrusion processes machinery and materials complemented by effective leadership skills to efficiently manage a team. This role demands technical proficiency problemsolving acumen and the ability to spearhead continuous improvement initiatives for optimal performance and efficiency in the production line.
Primary Responsibilities:
A. Installation and Setup Oversight: Supervise the installation setup and commissioning of plastic extrusion machinery and equipment ensuring precise calibration and adherence to specifications.
B. Production Line Leadership: Manage daytoday operations of the plastic extrusion production line overseeing scheduling staffing and resource allocation to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Quality Control: Enforce stringent quality control measures to guarantee the production of highquality plastic extrusion products meeting customer specifications and industry standards.
- Process Enhancement: Continually assess and optimize extrusion processes to enhance efficiency reduce waste and minimize downtime. Identify automation opportunities and implement innovative solutions for heightened productivity.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Promptly address equipment malfunctions and production issues collaborating with maintenance staff for preventive maintenance and necessary repairs.
- Safety Adherence: Implement and uphold safety protocols and procedures conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a secure working environment.
- Team Management: Provide guidance coaching and mentorship to the production team fostering a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous learning. Set performance goals and conduct regular reviews for employee development and engagement.
- Crossfunctional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments like engineering procurement and quality assurance to coordinate production activities resolve crossfunctional issues and support new product development initiatives.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities equipment maintenance and quality control data. Generate regular reports and performance metrics tracking production KPIs and communicating progress to senior management.
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in plastic extrusion operations with handson experience in extrusion machinery and processes. Proven leadership in a manufacturing environment effectively managing and motivating diverse teams. Strong technical aptitude problemsolving skills and a deep understanding of plastic materials polymers and extrusion techniques. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to plastic extrusion manufacturing including ISO FDA and OSHA requirements. Excellent communication skills capable of collaborating effectively with crossfunctional teams and conveying technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
