The role

Fugro are seeking a Site Investigations Operations manager within the Falmouth, Wallingford Consett hub, for the Land Team. The Land team deliver geo-technical ground investigation projects across the UK and Europe, within renewable and infrastructure industries. The Site investigations Operations Manager is a key member of the operations team. You will ensure best operation practices are implemented within the Land Business during the design stage of a project through to their successful execution in the field. You will focus on HSSE improvements and initiatives, and ensure UK remains the COE for producing drilling methodology technical and operational guidance as well as equipment selection, upgrades and new builds. The successful applicant will support the technical and cultural development of the field personnel to increase performance and skills.

Who we're looking for:

The Site Investigation Operations Manager will have a proven successful operational experience within the drilling sector or similar. You will ensure field operations are carried out in compliance with the IMS (integrated management system) and Fugro policies and procedures with specific Life Saving Rules and Management in Charge. Showing leadership and take accountability for Health and Safety within the operational delivery whether managing operations in the field or remotely. Implementing new initiatives, methods or technologies to improve safety performance. You will continually drive and motivate staff on good safety practice and attitude. Liaise with technical teams on project solutions and equipment integration as well as formulate project execution strategy. Managing and coordinate resource logistics for mobilisations and field operations, carrying out site visits to ensure Fugro stands are maintained on the drill rigs and project sites.
